Just flew in to Ireland and boy are my arms tired. Relaxing at the airport, enjoying a Guinness before connecting flight to Rome.

Journeying to Como to complete a LEAP exchange with my exchange partner Aldina. In preparation, Raine and I enrolled in Italian language classes. I don’t want to name the institution, because the experience wasn’t the best…let’s just saying rhymes with Pteridan. 😦

While at Pearson waiting to depart, I had the chance to speak with Lisa who is a site supervisor in our non-credit language program.

Afyer relaying our experience and how much more I learned using DuoLingo and other resources, she asked the million dollar question, wondering whether, with all of those resources available, doesn’t it make sense that retention is an issue in our classes?

That question has stuck with me and will be in mind throughout my exchange. And this is equally applicable to language and credit classes…so we’ll see.
