1) Had a booth at Grand Valley Institution for Women to promote opportunities post-release. Having been told that many will settle in Brampton I expected to have more conversations about our programs…but most last us by in favour of colleges. Only a few said that they’d completed their high school diploma, most saying “I’m looking at Colleges.” I couldn’t help feeling the reluctance to looking at high school programs, but I get it…
2) Most Interesting Comment of the Day: a 70+year old woman stopped at our table, waited for our brief intro, eyed our materials and just said “I’m new here” and walked away
3) Curious Stat: “When you see TV, you think it’s a lot of people that are there (Grand Valley) for violent crimes,” she said. “But when I got there, I was like, ‘Wow. 30 to 35 per cent of people are here for importing.’”

4) Amadeus – with live orchestra: unforgettable
5) My passenger side seatbelt warning has been sounding regularly over the past several weeks…while the seat sits empty. 🙃
I’ve taken it to mean that #daveBstrong is riding alongside. And I’m a little embarrassed to say that it took me until yesterday to fasten his seatbelt for the ride. 🤦🏻♂️
6) ROADTRIIIIIIP!
First one in a while with @RaineAdams1. #NEEDTOBREATHE
Passports ready and podcasts loaded!
(Three day’s pass)
7) I’m in the grips of a #mancold. Thinking about calling 9-1-1.
8) don’t wish bad things: thinking at the height of the wind storm how cool it would be if every shingle on the house I sold blows to Whitby (I have my reasons) and waking up to a lonely shingle in the back yard of our new house.
9) I really think I should call 9-1-1. One minute I need a toque on, next minute I need to take it off.
10) We had a “wind day” today. Not as glamorous as a snow day or an ice day, but I’ll take it. Worried about the inevitable “scorched earth day.”
