connection: a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else.
Again today, two completely unrelated readings expressed completely related ideas.
“…children shake us out of the narcolepsy of detached, rote-performance living.”
(Meditations for Living in Balance, May 18)
“A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to demand with all his might that which he desires.”(Fifth Mountain, pg. 201)
I’m reminded to pay attention…observe for patterns…the connections are there.
Sometimes they are RIGHT THERE!
Sometimes you need to dig a bit.
This time it’s between two separate texts. There’s probably another connection…I just need to get my shovel.
