5 Things

1) Perspective:

If football was adding an expansion franchise in Washington, how close to zero % is the chance they’d be called the Redskins?

2) Ticketmaster

Bought tickets through Ticketmaster. Tickets were “re-sale”. The show was cancelled. Ticketmaster kindly informed me that they have reimbursed the original purchaser.

What?!? Ticketmaster, you’re telling me you can’t follow the electronic money trail through your own website? This wasn’t shady back alley deal. I bought them THROUGH YOUR SITE.

Related question…how many $$ in service charges has Ticketmaster accrued for these two ticked already?

3) Watering the Lawn

Me in June: “I’m on top of this. I have a great plan to restore the lawn. It’s going to be awesome!”

Me in July (after getting June’s water bill): “You know, grass is a fall crop. We really shouldn’t force it to grow out of season.”

4) Buying Mulch

Me on Saturday: “There’s no way I’m paying for four yard bags of mulch. It’s way too expensive. We can do it with two.”

Me on Monday (after spreading the mulch): “We need one more bag. I’ll order two just to be sure.”

5) More on logos/

“The stance is very clear. We want the Chicago Blackhawks logo to change. For us, that’s one of our grandfathers. Would you do that with your grandfather’s picture? Take it and throw it on a rug? Walk on it and dance on it?” -Joe Podalsek

Now here’s an idea…

Ghislain Picard, the head of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador, says he would support the change of the logo to one designed by an Ojibwe artist featuring a black hawk.
