2) Why Can’t They Just Get Along?

Government wants members of its society to work together to make everyone better. Our politicians must MODEL this behaviour and use better strategies than attacking each other publicly and demanding heads on platters? There are collaborative techniques to help make the team better. A friend just started a business in arbitration and mediation – maybe the Federal Government should contract her to help them navigate these difficult workplace relationships. I really miss the good old days of full government collaboration that existed in way back in…March?

3) First Choice Haircutters Never Disappoints

I was the only customer in the salon and was getting my first haircut since March 12 when another person walked in. She sat down. A few minutes later, dude (who was doing an amazing job at not damaging my skull) pointed his colleague to the person.

haircut colleague: “Oh no – she’s not here for a haircut.”

person: “Yes I am, why else would I be sitting here.”

Well played, person.

Turns out, the person is Barbara. She imports beauty supplies for Shoppers and grocery stores and has been quite busy throughout the pandemic. She wanted her hair cut really short.

4) A Worry I Can’t Explain

I’m reading in church tomorrow. It’s been a while. I carry the worry that my brain will short-circuit and I will pronounce “The Word of the Lord” as “the werd of the lerd.” I know it’s not much…but it’s real.
