Lying

One Sunday, Father Michael announced that the following week the topic of his homily would be about the sin of lying.

He said, “To help you understand next week’s homily, I want you all to read Mark 17.”

The following Sunday, he asked who read it, with every hand going up.

He smiled and said, “Mark has only sixteen chapters. I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying.”
